European Nudist

Lucy and Dave, L.A., USA 11/06/05:

Having experienced "free beaches" in Northern California and nudist areas in Florida, my wife and I weren't shocked at all and in fact expected to come across nude sunbathing in Europe. And we also acted a bit like Adam & Eve, pre-apple. It was weird at first, but no one looks at you funny so after awhile we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves.
Europeans are great sun-worshippers, and they seem to worship the sun best in their birthday suits. Topless and nude beaches abound... so sooner or later you'll find yourself on a beach surrounded by naked Europeans.

We loved the open attitudes of Europeans about nudity. For us it seams that the Europeans don't worry one bit about modesty. Cap d'Agde in southern France is the mother of all nudist locations - everything there is nude, including apartment complexes, dentist offices, restaurants, the post office, the medical facilities, etc.! How refreshing to ask "Òu est la plage nudiste?" (Where is the nudist beach?) and not have people look at you as if you were a pervert.

Well, we travelled Germany this summer and we visited some remote nudist beaches there. It was great. The only problem was the people who have other motive for visiting these beaches, and it's not sunbathing. Some guys just can't hide their excitement. And more than one couple of exhibitionists nor more than 100 feet away decided to have sex at the beach.
So we had translated the German part of this website, and if we haven't misunderstood that all (I have no idea what follows in the member area) it seams, that we really live in two separate worlds. In Germany nudism has a very, very clear sexual aspect, I suppose.
